Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our treatments, booking policies, and what to expect during your visit to Opal Day + Med Spa.

General & Booking

Are consultations free?
Yes! We offer complimentary consultations for all medical aesthetic treatments. During this time, our experts will evaluate your skin, discuss your goals, and create a customized treatment plan tailored specifically for you.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require a minimum 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours are subject to a fee of 50% of the service cost. No-shows will be charged the full amount of the scheduled service.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, we partner with Cherry to offer flexible, 0% APR payment plans for our medical aesthetic treatments. You can easily get pre-approved online before your appointment.

Injectables

How long does Botox take to kick in?
While some patients may notice subtle changes within 3 to 4 days, it typically takes a full 14 days for neurotoxins like Botox to take complete effect. Results generally last 3 to 4 months depending on your metabolism and activity level.
Will I look "overdone" or unnatural?
Absolutely not. The Opal standard is "Refined results. Naturally you." Our master injectors use conservative, face-first dosing to simply soften lines and restore lost volume, ensuring you leave looking like a more rested version of yourself.
Is there any downtime after dermal fillers?
You may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site for a few days. We recommend scheduling filler appointments at least two weeks before any major events.

Skin & Lasers

Does Morpheus8 hurt?
Patient comfort is our top priority. We apply a medical-grade topical numbing cream 45 minutes prior to the procedure. Most patients report feeling only mild pressure and a warm sensation during the treatment.
What is the difference between a Spa Facial and a Medical Facial?
A traditional spa facial focuses heavily on relaxation and surface-level cleansing. A medical facial (like the HydraFacial or a VI Peel) uses advanced technology and clinical-grade ingredients to penetrate deeper layers of the skin, treating specific conditions like acne, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines.
How many Lumecca IPL sessions will I need?
While many clients see significant improvement in sun damage and redness after just one session, we typically recommend a series of 2-3 sessions spaced a month apart for optimal, long-lasting results.
